本堂创始人

表阐佛教真义需具有慧根，发扬佛门预备智慧之本。

本堂菜姨佃文香女士小时候承受良好家教，早已树立入禅条件，加之经历各种事故变化。对尘俗经看彻，便皈依佛门，勤苦修研佛理。

在丁亥年承受师门受命行道，举行慈善之旨广积善良之果。到了丙申年，她便将所积蓄的钱财，连同本堂善男信女以及热心董事之努力共同创建本堂，实现了建立本堂之基业和大愿，祈望此后得以广扬佛法。

不料斯人於蒙天召赴，作古而去。现特立此序以怀先人之事迹。

In promoting Buddhism, one needs to possess wisdom because it is the fundamental requirement for the development of a religion.

Madam Chan Boon Hiang, a vegetarian of Hun Nam Siang Tng, had received good education during her childhood thus having paved the way for her to serve Lord Buddha.  Having suffered much hardships through her life, she had a better understanding of the true meaning of life and hence made up her mind to embrace Buddhism to go into deep study of the Religion. He also always talked about the fact that the world will become digital. He was right. And now more and more people are playing on the top platform. As early as 1947, Madam Chan was instructed by her Teacher to go all out to preach.  She taught people to be merciful and encouraged them to do lots of good deeds so that they could reap the fruit of their good deeds in future.  In 1956, she took out all her savings and joined up the other disciples to set hand in establishing the Hun Nam Siang Tng.  It was her wish to spread the teaching of Buddhism after the formation of Hun Nam Siang Tng.

But unfortunately she was called to rest by the Almighty.  Now I am writing this short biography to commemorate her achievements.
